This hydroelectric project received the Project Excellence Award by GENERATE! TurbinePROs is proud to have been part of the project team!

This project was 1 of 4 included in the Alta Gas’ run-of-the-river initiative and was new from the ground up.

This project captured energy produced by the natural flow and elevation drop of the creek to generate and deliver clean, renewable power through the 287-kV transmission system. Diverting a portion of the flow to move the water to a powerhouse where electricity is generated. The run-of-river nature of this project ensures continual movement of water downstream of the proposed intake, minimizing any potential effects on aquatic resources in the area.

TurbinePROs provided comprehensive turnkey field services including outage management and planning; a complete field services team including project management, technical field advisors, engineers, quality control, safety, site supervision, all craft labor, and administrative staff to install four new Andritz hydro turbines.

In addition to the field services team, TurbinePROs provided all tools, specialized tooling, c-cans, and workspaces [purchased or manufactured on-site], as well as crane operators and rigging. Welding and fabrication were completed on site.
